La Spiritualité de la Congrégation de Windesheim

« We stem from a XIVth century movement of renewal in the Church and our Gospel following of Christ is based on the spiritual tradition bequeathed to us by Gerard Grote, the father of the 'Devotio Moderna' wich seeks to go back to the fervour and the simplicity of the early Church. »

 (Constitutions N°1).

As Canonesses regular, our form of life is based on the ideal expressed in the Rule of St Augustine.

We share, with all the members of the Canonial Order, the mission to celebrate the Liturgy of the Hours and to bear witness to love in community and in our apostolic ministry.

Within the Church and the Canonial Order, our Congregation has as specific mission to live and radiate the personal love of Christ by an interial life sustaning all our activities.

Everything in our daily life becomes a means of meeting with Christ and through him, of union with God.

This union with Christ experienced in a living faith, in love and in a life of prayer is the source of love for another, of fruitful action and of life for the Church.
